Which encoding do I need?
Base64 is for embedding bytes in text, such as data URIs, email attachments, and JWT segments. URL encoding is for putting values inside query strings and paths. HTML entity encoding is for displaying text literally inside HTML so it is not interpreted as markup.
Unicode matters
Characters outside ASCII, such as é, ü, or emoji, are first converted to UTF-8 bytes. DevKitly's encoders do this explicitly, which avoids the InvalidCharacterError that the browser's built-in btoa() throws on non-Latin text.
